“Time Machine” — Inspired by Music, Imagination, and My Son’s Story

I often find inspiration in my children — their creativity never ceases to amaze me. When my son was learning Bach’s Invention No. 8, his piano teacher encouraged him to create a story for the piece. The story he came up with was that his lovie, Dino built a time-traveling machine and journeyed back to the Steampunk Era.
Each time I listened to him play that melody, vivid images began to form in my mind — the hiss of steam, the hum of machinery, the gleam of brass and gears turning in the smoky air. I could almost feel the rhythm of the music blending with the pulse of an industrial world filled with invention and wonder.
Those sounds and visions became the heartbeat of this painting. I imagined his little dinosaur adventuring through a mechanical city — surrounded by factories, rusty pipes, and glowing golden machines. The more I painted, the more I could see his story come alive before me.
That’s how “Time Machine” was born — a fusion of music, imagination, and a child’s boundless creativity.
