This illustration began with a story I wanted to tell.
In my little world, penguins and polar bears are friendly business competitors. As the seasons change, they open different little shops, create seasonal treats, and invite all of their friends to join the fun.
For November, I imagined a cozy pumpkin pie bakery surrounded by colorful autumn trees. The bakery became so popular that the pumpkin pies sold out. The polar bear happily stepped in to help, proudly holding the SOLD OUT sign while customers kept arriving.
If you look a little higher, you'll notice Puff Fish floating on the warm steam rising from the bakery ovens. After a long day of flying, he found the perfect place to relax with a cozy autumn sauna.
I love hiding these tiny stories throughout my illustrations. Every character has a personality, and every visit to this little world reveals something new. I hope assembling the puzzle feels like exploring a story, one piece at a time.
